On Wednesday, March 11, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the circulation of private vehicles with verification hologram 2 will be suspended, as well as those with hologram 1 whose last numerical digit is 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9. The restriction also applies to vehicles with hologram 0 and 00 that have a red sticker or a license plate ending in 3 or 4. The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis urged the population to reduce the use of products containing solvents or that generate fugitive emissions at home. The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe) reported that Phase 1 of the environmental contingency for ozone has been activated in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico. This determination was made after a maximum concentration of 159 ppb of ozone was recorded at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at the FES Acatlán station, in the municipality of Naucalpan de Juárez. The anticyclonic system affecting the center of the country intensified, generating strong atmospheric stability and weak winds.
